Columcille
Columcille is a unique megalith park based on Iona, a tiny island of four-billion-year-old stones off Scotland’s West Coast.
Columcille is located in Bangor Pennsylvania, on the Kitatinni Ridge of the Appalachian Mountains.
It offers a peaceful stroll throught a beautiful well kept wooded area that allows you to just enjoy the scenery and listen to the birds and feel the peace of nature. It has over 80 standing stones and many woodland trails and meditation sites.
A few of my favorite spots to stop and feel the spiritual peace is St. Columba Chapel, built in 1979 and one very huge megalith that I like to call a piece of the rock of
ages.
When I first visited Columcille It was early spring of 1998
I was in need of renewal both mentally and spriritually.
The peacefulness of Columcille helped with that greatly.
I have since visited it many times and taken many of my friends and student there. It is a place of peace, beauty
and spiritual energy where you may feel the veil is thin.
