Ant Repellent
Spearmint, peppermint, tansy, pennyroyal all has something in common. The essential oil and the plants are an excellent ant repellent. Several ways to use this effectively is plant the plants near the doors of your house or in pots. Place essential oil on cotton wool balls and put them near the place that the ants are using to enter your home. Spray the oils along the shelf and base boards where ants are seen. This may also be used on the nest as well.
The spray can be made using 4 to 8 drops of essential oil in a pint of water.
Thinking of going on a picnic add a few drops of peppermint or spearmint oil to your blanket or table cloth to discourage the ants.
